Yona's Bar Mitzvah Journey: Running for Myisrael Welcome to My Journey! Hello! I'm Yona, and as I prepare for my Bar Mitzvah in December, I've decided to take on a special challenge to make this milestone truly meaningful. My Challenge Each month leading up to my Bar Mitzvah, I am running a race in a different part of Israel. This journey isn't just about running – it's about: -Discovering beautiful landscapes across our country -Learning about the rich history of each region -Understanding the diverse communities that call these places home -Making a difference through charitable action About Myisrael Myisrael supports multiple small organizations doing important work across our country. Through them, I found Animal Angels and was inspired by their mission to help both animals and people heal together. Why Animal Angels? Through Myisrael, I've chosen to support Animal Angels, an organization that creates healing connections between animals and people in crisis. I chose this cause because I love animals so much!! Animal Angels works with a beautiful concept: rescue animals becoming therapeutic companions for people in need. These special animals:  -Help patients develop empathy and compassion  -Provide unconditional love to those who need it most -Create a healing bridge between humans and animals -Facilitate recovery and rehabilitation through companionship What makes Animal Angels so special is that both the animals and the people benefit from these relationships. Many of these animals have been rescued from abuse and difficult situations themselves, so they also heal through these therapeutic interactions. It's truly a two-way healing journey, where animals who have suffered find love and purpose while helping humans recover from their own traumas. Animal Angels works across all communities in Israel, bringing together people from diverse social, religious, and political backgrounds through a shared compassion for both animals and humans.
