Help 1600 Ethiopian Olim Celebrate the Seder

The Jewish Olim from Ethiopia endure great challenges; It is an opportunity to embrace the Olim and to assist in their absorption and integration into Israeli society.

This year, “Ish Ler’ehu” will be conducting its 6th annual Passover Seder for approximately 1600 Ethiopian immigrants in Jaffa, Israel. This is the flagship event of the "Successful Aliya Project" working throughout the year in conjunction with the Aviv HaTorah, a non-profit organization in Tel-Aviv. This Seder, the largest in Israel, is an opportunity to demonstrate our commitment and support for our Ethiopian brothers and sisters here in Israel, and to assist them in their absorption and integration into Israeli society. With Passover quickly approaching, funds have so far been obtained for only about a thousand seder participants. Additional money is being sought for almost 600 immigrants. Please help us provide for all of those wishing to participate in the Seder.

The "Successful Aliyah" project helps develop leadership, empowers and teaches how to deal with the challenges of immigration within the Ethiopian community and trains the next generation of community leaders throughout the country.
