The nonprofit organizations "Our Brothers" and "OR LATKUMA" are launching a unique joint initiative to commemorate the fallen of the Iron Swords War, in collaboration with bereaved families – through innovation, education, healing, and rebirth.
Why Now?
Since October 7th, more than 1,800 families have joined the circle of national grief.
The initiative aims to establish educational and community projects in memory of the fallen, transforming pain into meaningful action that strengthens Israeli society and passes on the values of the victory generation – heroism, unity, and resilience.
Our mission is to connect remembrance with rebirth.
Memorial Projects: Turning Memory into Action
The following projects were built in partnership with bereaved families, honoring their loved ones through education, culture, sports, and community resilience – based on the belief that living memory is the driving force of national rebirth.
1. “Light of the Brothers”
Background: The project enables accessible and personalized creation of digital memorial videos.
Project: Establishing a digital platform for creating memorial videos ahead of Israel’s Memorial Day.
Required Budget: ₪100,000
2. Winery, Wine Bar, and Visitors’ Center in Kibbutz Kfar Aza in Memory of Captain Guy Admoni and Michal Admoni z”l
Background: An Intelligence Directorate officer, murdered along with his mother on October 7th, while they were embracing in the safe room of their home in Kibbutz Kfar Aza.
Project: Establishing a winery, wine bar, and visitors’ center in Kibbutz Kfar Aza.
Required Budget: ₪100,000
3. Musical Center for Children with ADHD and Special Needs in Memory of Eden Naftali z”l
Background: Murdered at the Nova music festival, together with her partner, Idan Herman z”l. She loved music and volunteered with children with special needs.
Project: Establishing a musical center for children with ADHD and special needs.
Required Budget: ₪80,000
4. Fan Section in a Leading Football Club in Memory of Staff Sergeant Itay-Eliyahu Martsiano z”l
Background: Itay was an outstanding combat soldier in the Paratroopers Brigade and a devoted football fan. He fell heroically on October 7th while defending Kibbutz Yad Mordechai from a terrorist attack.
Project: Establishing a social-educational fan section in a leading football club, involving children from underprivileged and marginalized communities.
Required Budget: ₪75,000
5. Educational-Military Fitness Gym in Memory of Sergeant Achia Daskal z”l
Background: A Golani fighter and student at the Hesder Yeshiva in Kiryat Shmona, he fell in Gaza while saving his comrades in Shuja’iyya.
Project: Establishing an educational and military-style gym – combining physical and mental resilience, while encouraging IDF enlistment.
Required Budget: ₪80,000
6. Annual Football Tournaments and Naming of a Stadium in Memory of Captain (res.) Adir Portugal z”l
Background: An officer in the Givati Brigade who was killed in battle in Jabaliya after returning from South America to fight. A passionate football fan, he supported Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Project: Establishing a community memorial stadium and annual football tournaments to commemorate his legacy and promote excellence, combining values, sports, and community unity.
Required Budget: ₪100,000
7. “Sticking the Angels” – International Awareness and Remembrance Campaign
Background: A project distributing stickers with the stories of the fallen to travelers around the world, in partnership with over 300 bereaved families.
Project: Production, packaging, and worldwide distribution of the stickers.
Required Budget: ₪50,000
