Planting a Future at Yaara People heal the land, the land heals the people. In moshav Kidron, a unique space has taken root — a place where people and the earth grow together, where personal healing meets ecological restoration. The Yaa’ra Food Forest is a living, breathing project that blends sustainable agriculture with deep and meaningful psychosocial rehabilitation. At the heart of Ya’ara  is a rehabilitative social nursery, a unique rehabilitation framework in collaboration with Gvanim Association. The social nursery is a safe and empowering workspace and community for individuals coping with mental health challenges and cognitive disabilities. Participants develop practical skills, a sense of belonging, and renewed self-confidence. Through meaningful work in our ecological nursery, vegetable garden, and forest, they gradually transition into the broader job market and independent living. Now, in response to the current reality, we are cultivating "The Healing Forest" — a unique recovery project for those impacted by war.   It offers tailored support for those affected by the emotional toll of war — individuals facing trauma, grief, and loss, including first responders, survivors of the Nova festival, bereaved families, and more. In collaboration with “Shahar Hadash”, a trauma-focused treatment institute, this new program offers a steady ground, nature-based connection, community, and professional care. We are now launching a crowdfunding campaign to strengthen the foundation of the Social Nursery and create a healing space within "The Healing Forest" for those affected by the war.
