Ve'Ahavta - Building a Home for Modern Jewish Life

Ve’Ahavta – The Reform Congregation of Shoham is a vibrant center of Jewish life, education, and social action. It is a community that provides an egalitarian, pluralistic, welcoming, warm and engaging spiritual home for Jews in the growing city of Shoham, with over 24,000 residents, and its surrounding area. The Opportunity - In 2019, Ve’Ahavta became the first Reform community in Israel to receive a municipal land allocation without a legal battle: a groundbreaking milestone for religious pluralism in Israel. Today, with municipal approval and architectural plans in place, Ve’Ahavta is poised to realize a historic dream: to build a permanent home for Reform Jewry in the heart of Israel.  The new building will allow Ve’Ahavta to expand and strengthen Jewish identity and belonging. At a time when Israeli society is grappling with war, division and a crisis of values, the new space will provide a vital source of resilience and inspiration.
