Gan Dror

In the wake of October 7th, we, families of IDF reservists, faced fear, instability, and emotional upheaval. Our children lived in constant anxiety, our homes were filled with uncertainty, and our sense of stability unraveled. But instead of breaking, we chose to build. Out of this crisis, we created a pilot for healing. We have created a replicable model for healing and resilience one that is grounded in community, education, and post-traumatic growth. At the heart of this vision is Gan Dror, a kindergarten named in memory of Dror Alton z”l. More than a kindergartent it is a model for emotional and social recovery by supporting both children and their families through an attachment-based approach. The kindergarten will contain therapeutic spaces, nature, and creative expression. Parents are partners, not bystanders, thereby creating a shared space for growth and connection. Gan Dror is a blueprint that can be scaled across Israel—turning trauma into strength, isolation into unity, and fear into hope.
