Donors: 7
The Maglan Friends Foundation serves as an umbrella organization and a warm home for thousands of Maglan Unit veterans — combat soldiers and support personnel, past and present, in both regular service and reserves. The association preserves the spirit of volunteerism and giving among its alumni, with the goal of integrating them into Israel’s current and future business, public, and social leadership.
Wounded Support ProgramThe Wounded Support Program provides assistance to soldiers injured in war and to their families, through approximately 100 volunteers operating in 13 hospitals across the country — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Continuous support includes:
•
Assistance with urgent hospital admission procedures
•
Real-time updates and close family support
•
Full coordination with military officials
•
Housing solutions for families (fully or partially funded) to ensure comfortable conditions and ongoing support
•
Meals and beverages
•
Duffel-bag supply kits for the wounded
•
Daily support from hospitalization through rehabilitation
Additionally, the program offers emotional therapies such as therapeutic horseback riding and animal-assisted therapy, along with personalized psychological support tailored to the needs of the wounded and their families.
To date, the initiative has assisted more than 150 wounded individuals and their families by providing a comprehensive support system that enables coping, recovery, and a gradual return to daily life.
