Am Yisrael Will Succeed

“Behold a people that rises like a fearsome lion,” raising itself like a lion. It does not lie down until it consumes prey, and drinks the blood of its slain enemies.”Line 24 of Parshat Balak of Bamidbar. Why does Israel continue to prevail? Today’s military leaders all say, “all of our success is with the help of heaven.” We are staring miracles in the face daily – entire apartment buildings blown up leaving just the bomb shelters exposed with entire families safely huddled together and only light injuries, Thank G-d. Today, one of our most powerful weapons is Torah study – and we want to be your representatives here in Israel.  Here, situated just a few minutes south of the famous twin-peaks: Mount Ebal and Mount Gerizim from Parshat Re’eh(And it shall come to pass, when the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, that thou shalt set the blessing upon mount Gerizim, and the curse upon mount Ebal.) Next to the ancient city of Shchem (where Yosef haTzadik is buried!) our yeshiva and bet midrash, Od Yosef Chai, is located in a town called Yitzhar. In this special place we have a very special approach to Torah learning: love of the land and love of fellow Jew as taught through chassidus.
