This August, our next generation of athletes needs your support more than ever: Israel’s Youth National Team will represent the country at the World Youth Archery Championships, taking place in Canada – the pinnacle event for athletes under 21. Remarkable Achievements – and a Unique Opportunity Ahead At the previous World Championships, the youth team made history by winning Israel’s first-ever medal at this prestigious event. This season, the team has continued to excel: winning a prestigious gold medal at the European Youth Cup, along with five more medals at the latest World Ranking Tournament held in Slovenia. As preparations intensify for the Championships in Canada, there is genuine anticipation for winning additional medals and establishing a tradition of success. Why Your Support Matters Participating in the World Championships requires substantial investment – flights, accommodation, equipment transport, and professional coaching. Due to the war, widespread flight cancellations, and logistical disruptions, the cost of participation has increased dramatically, with an estimated cost of approximately ₪15,000 (around USD 4,000) per athlete. Unfortunately, the public funding available to the Israel Archery Association does not cover all expenses required for the team’s participation and preparation.
