The "kol-kore" website includes step by step instructions for learning to read trope (cantillation signs) for both bar/bat mitzvah youngsters and for adults. All the Haftarah and Maftir readings were recorded by women who volunteered to participate in this project. A unique feature is a series of 10 films explaining how to teach others, as well as materials that can be downloaded. The site includes a section on accompanying a child with special needs through the process of bar or bat mitzvah, commentaries on the connection between Torah portions and the Haftarah readings, and a calculator to determine the portion of the week that corresponds to one's date of birth or to any date you select. Our site appears in Hebrew: kol-kore.org and in English: kol-kore.org/en. The website is now being maintained in memory of Susie Dvoskin, one of the founders.
