Pinat Yosef

We recently began the development of Pinat Yosef the “Yosef Sitting Area”, preparing a quiet place in memory of the late Yosef Yeshurun, grandson of synagogue members. The designated corner is adjacent to the synagogue, a place where passersby can sit and take a break from the rush of life. After collecting a sum of money from donations from family members and synagogue worshippers, we recently completed the paving and construction of a pergola, and we are now working on beautification - greenery for the planters and for the flowerbed to the side of the pergola. This corner will also be a sukkah during the holiday of Sukkot and a location for shaded outdoor classes, and a place where people from the neighborhood may sit on Yom Kippur for "Kol Nidrei" and “Neila”, when there is no free space inside the synagogue. Help us complete the development by installing electricity, lighting and fans, adding a bench for seating, and handling ongoing care of the plants.
