The Boat is Sailing

Since the Iron Swords War, demand for the program has grown significantly — and we need your help. Every donation helps us welcome new participants, support existing ones, and restore peace of mind to more lives. Since 2003, this project has been operating within Etgarim in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense, offering a lifeline of hope to combat soldiers coping with PTSD as a result of their service. The project was founded by a group of IDF veterans living with PTSD, who created a continuous, rehabilitative community offering mutual support through tailored and evolving maritime challenges. What makes us unique? Graduates of the program become instructors and mentors for new members — forming a powerful, circular model of growth, empowerment, and healing. The groups create an active, supportive rehabilitative community. Activities take place year-round on yachts in Herzliya and Haifa, including weekly sailing sessions and international voyages during the summer. Group are accompanied by a social worker.
