Bezalel's Torah Scroll - Commemorating Bezalel

Donors: 110

On the holy Shabbat evening of Parashat Pinchas, our community was struck with shock and deep mourning, with the sudden and tragic passing of the important and precious young man Bezalel of his mother, z"l, son of our friend Rabbi Yaakov of his mother, who passed away to a good and long life. Bezalel of his mother, z"l, a young boy of 14, was not an ordinary boy at all. He was full of light, a constant smile, a pure heart and a rare soul. He brightened the face of all those around him. He was endowed with a gentle personality, a special sensitivity to others and a great love for Torah and prayer. One of the places where his virtues were evident was the 'Ra'dlich' synagogue. There, with dedication and silence, he used to arrive consistently - to help organize and arrange the morning and evening synagogue. He had a special affection for Torah lessons and the worshipers in the synagogue, and he took upon himself the burden and perseverance to care for the well-being of the participants and students. Bezalel did not seek fame - all his actions were done with grace and modesty, and his work is etched in the hearts of all worshippers and students. Out of a deep sense of gratitude, the community decided to perpetuate his memory and offer repose to his pure soul. At this time, when the number of worshippers in the synagogue has increased significantly, the great need for a new Torah scroll that will serve the community on a regular basis is felt. And what could be more fitting than dedicating the Torah scroll to the elevation of the soul of the late Bezalel, and thus continuing his light that will be immortalized with us in the Torah scroll that will be written in his memory. We appeal to all his loved ones, synagogue visitors, family friends, and everyone whose heart was touched by Bezalel's shining image - to be a partner in this holy undertaking, to take part in writing the Torah scroll, and to be blessed with fulfilling a positive commandment from the Torah: "And now write for yourselves this song." And everyone who takes part in this sublime undertaking will surely be blessed with great abundance, and will succeed in all his deeds, and will be blessed with all the blessings written in the Torah scroll.
