Together, we continue the LightOri grew up in Moreshet, in the Lower Galilee – the beloved son of Dalya and Avi, and eldest brother to Noam, Elichai, Itai, and Yair.
Ori lived with an open heart and true joy. Always in motion, always seeking ways to do good. Everywhere he went, he carried with him a spirit of kindness and care. Between studies, work, friends, and everyday life, he chose to live with authenticity – filling his time with what made him happy, caring for others, and embracing each new day with joy.
On October 10, 2024, shortly before the eve of Yom Kippur, Ori fell while fighting bravely in battle against Hamas terrorists in Jabalya, Gaza. He was the “Negevist” of his platoon – leading the way and serving as an example and role model, both as a soldier and as a human being.
Ori left behind an immense void, but also a great light – Ori’s light.
Our MissionAs we approach the first anniversary of his passing, we are committed to two meaningful projects in his memory:
1.The Ori Scenic Lookout (Mitzpor Ori) in Moreshet.
2. The establishment of a fund that will continue Ori’s legacy through acts of kindness and goodness.
The Ori Scenic LookoutOver the past year, Ori’s story has been shared with communities across Israel and North America. With a desire to carry forward the light, joy, generosity, and love of humanity that defined him, we are creating a beautiful scenic lookout over the Galilee and Jezreel Valley in Moreshet – the community where Ori grew up.
The Lookout will be a place for prayer (“Heroes Minyan”), for learning and activities on bravery, the heroes of Israel, and the value of mesirut nefesh
(selfless dedication) – all with the goal of preserving and perpetuating Ori’s memory, alongside the memory of all who fell in the Iron Swords War.
It will include open spaces for learning and outdoor programs. In honor of Ori’s great love for capoeira and breakdancing, there will be an area dedicated to training and performances. A quiet contemplation space and a memorial corner will allow visitors to connect – both to the breathtaking beauty of the landscape, and to what truly matters in life.
Join UsWe invite you to be part of establishing the Ori Scenic Lookout and to choose to continue along Ori’s path – a path of faith, joy, generosity, connection, love of the land, and doing good.
Every donation is deeply appreciated.
Donations are tax-deductible in Israel, Canada, and the USA.
