Rehabilitating the Northern Kibbutzim - Challenge Grant

Update March 13, 2026: In the last two weeks, our northern kibbutzim have yet again been put at the forefront of attacks from both Iran and Hezbollah.  Having just regained a sense of normalcy after returning home, they are now back to running to community bomb shelters with little to no time between alerts and actual sirens and falling missiles.  As before, our job is now to ensure their safety through emergency kits and supporting the infomal education, mental health and agricultural systems within each kibbutz.  Since October 7th, the Northern Kibbutzim were dispersed throughout the country, leaving it very difficult to continue as strong communities. Families moved multiple times, and when it came time to return, basic human services were not available. Communities need to be rebuilt, at-risk behaviors are rampant among youth at rates never seen before, mental health needs are beyond what the government can provide, and communal resilience needs support.  The Kibbutz Movement Rehabilitation Fund recently received a Challenge Grant of $150,000 to support the rehabilitation of the 19 Northern Kibbutzim and we need your support.  Challenge Grant requirements include: 1.
