gemach Moshe and Eliad - Ofakim

We, the Ofakim gemach, invite you to take part and be partners in a great donation! What is the Ofakim gemach? The Ofakim gemach has been in existence for about 20 years and operates on Rosh Hashanah and Passover. The gemach was established by Moshe Ohayon and the Ofakim Youth, out of a desire to give families in the city the opportunity to celebrate the holidays with dignity and family. On the morning of Simchat Torah, Moshe and his son Eliad Ohayon left their home at the sound of battles to protect the city's residents. Moshe and Eliad lost their lives in battle on that day. Since then, the gemach team has decided to dedicate the activity to their memory and light and has increased the size of the activity and the number of families benefiting from the distribution. This upcoming holiday, we want to reach 1,000 families in the city of Ofakim - and we need your help. The entire gemach is operated by youth from the central Bnei Akiva branch, graduates, National Service women and good people. The gemach relies on donations! All the people who work there are volunteers. In the days before Rosh Hashanah or Passover, the volunteers come to the central Bnei Akiva branch in Ofakim, where the distribution takes place: the portions are packed and distributed to families. What do the families receive? The portions include a basket of dry food and vegetables and fruits. All the fruits and vegetables are donated by farmers from all over the country, our volunteers travel and collect them and the youth pack them. The dry food basket is the main part where we need your donations and help. How can you also take part? The holding of the gemach involves large financial expenses - which depends on the donations of good people, and that is why you are here! Together we can give families a holiday joy with dignity! Every donation, every amount, brings us closer to our goal. Come take part in something good and great that is happening here!!!
