Ezra’s Garden of Strength – Ginat Oz Ezra As we approach the 10th Yahrzeit of Ezra Schwartz hy"d, 7th of Kislev, we are refurbishing Ezra’s Garden of Strength at Oz V’Gaon in Gush Etzion. Ezra’s last mission was helping to beautify Oz V’Gaon, a nature preserve created in memory of Gil-Ad, Eyal and Naftali, hy"d, who were kidnapped and killed 14 months before Ezra’s own murder. Ezra felt deeply connected to them and told us, “the work was hard but meaningful.” Since then, Ginat Oz Ezra has become the place where we gather each year on his Yahrzeit. We walk from the site of the terror attack to the garden, share memories, decorate stones, laugh, cry, and honor Ezra together. Thanks to the loving dedication of friends Rocky & Jeremy Brody and Adina & Meir Deutch, this tradition has become a meaningful source of strength for us all. This year, Ezra’s Yahrzeit coincides with Thanksgiving in the U.S.—a fitting reminder of how grateful we are to family and friends who have supported Ezra’s legacy and us personally through the years. Now, we are taking the next step: creating a more permanent and beautiful Garden of Strength in Ezra’s memory. Please help us continue Ezra’s mission by donating generously to this project.
