Yeshivat Hashem Roi

Yeshivat Hashem Roi began as a weekday minyan for mincha for people working in the stores in Har Nof with the intention to help Jews in whatever way we could, and with God's help within 4 short years has turned not only into a regular shul but a place where we have created innovative programs in the worlds of Torah, chinuch and shidduchim. We have created the following programs: A shul with a focus on the youth where they are the ba'alei tefila and ba'alei kria enabling us to build their sense of self while giving them the skills and confidence they need to be contributing members of communities as adults. Kolel Tzeirim - A weekend learning program for boys from 6th grade through high school where we teach them the skills they need to analyze the Gemara, Rashi and Tosfos. We put a focus on having them analyze the steps and the wording of the Gemara and the Rishonim, learning skills they do not receive in the Yeshiva curriculum. The learning is done in small groups so the boys can pick up the skills individually. Analyzing Chazal - A weekly Torah magazine and Torah video using the methodology of the Alter of Slobodka to teach the skills of how to analyze the words of chazal to bring out the depth of beauty of their interpretation of the words of Tanach. We are also beginning to update the divrei torah for school aged children to enable them to learn the skills at a younger age. Project כשמחך - A project intended to help our young single men and woman learn about themselves and what they are truly looking for in a spouse; help them through the dating process with professional dating coaches and to ensure that no boy and girl gets forgotten as they get older. We have so far been running these programs on a shoe string budget but in order to expand, and help Bnei Yisroel we need funding.  Come and take your portion in the incredible work and mitzvos we are doing!
