Tikkun Olam in Action: Rebuilding the North with the Yuval Academy of Midreshet Tavor Your contribution will help build the Yuval Academy’s new educational campus, guided by the values of Midreshet Tavor and Yuval, and rebuild Israel’s North through Zionism in action! Thanks to a generous donor, every dollar raised in this campaign will be doubled at its conclusion About Lt. Yuval Yoffe: Lt. Yuval Yoffe z”l was an outstanding IDF tank officer who fell at the start of the Iron Swords War while defending a southern Israeli community. Yuval was a man of resilience and values: after a severe knee injury ended his dream of becoming a professional soccer player, he rehabilitated himself and insisted on serving as a combat officer. He excelled at every stage of his military service, graduating tank commander’ and officers’ courses with distinction. Yuval lived by two guiding principles: “Those who can – should”, reflecting his deep sense of responsibility, and “The sky is the limit, but the way is with respect”, blending relentless pursuit of excellence with humanity and humility. His life and legacy inspire us to continue his path of service, leadership, and Tikkun Olam - repairing and improving the world through action and hope. The Yuval Academy of Midreshet Tavor - Qiryat Shemona Founded in 2010, the Midreshet Tavor Foundation has shaped hundreds of young leaders inspired by Jewish values, Zionist identity, and a deep sense of service. Yuval himself was a proud graduate of Mechinat Tavor, later returning as a volunteer mentor even before his IDF service. Just days before the war, he came straight from military duty to teach Tavor’s traditions to the new class, determined to pass them on. In a notebook found after his fall, Yuval had written one of his dreams: “to guide and educate in the Mechina.” The creation of the Yuval Academy in Qiryat Shemona fulfills that dream. It will be a vibrant pre-army gap year program where young Israelis come together to learn, volunteer, and lead. Rising from tragedy, the Academy will both rebuild a city deeply scarred by war and embody Yuval’s values of resilience, service, and leadership - bringing new hope to Israel’s north and to the people who call it home. With Your Support - Building a Home of Values and Vision At the entrance to Kiryat Shmona stands the historic “Igloo” building, soon to be transformed into a permanent home for the Yuval Academy. Together we will renovate it into a vibrant campus with dormitories, classrooms, sports facilities, and community spaces - a center of education, leadership, and hope that will shape generations to come. This is your opportunity to take part in a unique national effort - rebuilding northern Israel and carrying Yuval’s legacy forward. Thanks to a generous donor, every dollar raised in this campaign will be doubled at its conclusion, and all contributions are tax-deductible in the USA. Together, we can rebuild Kiryat Shmona, strengthen Israel’s north, and carry Yuval’s light forward - from memory to action, from tragedy to renewal.
