The Center for the Autistic Experience - In Honor and in Memory of Noya Dan

On October 7, 2023, Noya Dan, of blessed memory, was murdered together with her grandmother, Carmela, in Kibbutz Nir Oz by Hamas terrorists. Noya, of blessed memory, was a student in the Benjamin Rothman Eshel HaNegev School for Students with Autism, part of the Alumot Or network of schools. With her bright green eyes, Noya was a sensitive, curious, intelligent, and funny girl, a devoted fan of Harry Potter, manga, magic, and poetry. She had a boundless imagination and an enormous heart. Now, Galit Dan, Noya’s mother, together with Alumot Or and the Eshkol Regional Council, wish to establish in her memory and in her honor the Noya Dan Center for the Autistic Experience, a space dedicated to promoting understanding, empathy, and acceptance of the autistic experience. The center will be located within the Grovtech building in the Eshkol Regional Council, one of Noya’s favorite places. People with autism are actively involved in designing the center, to ensure that the messages are authentic and that the transition between rooms offers a meaningful, immersive experience. The center will invite visitors to explore in an experiential and accessible way, the sensory world and lived experiences of autistic children, teens, and adults. It will provide a deep encounter with the autistic experience how autistic people perceive and interact with the world — while promoting autism as a natural and valuable part of human diversity and society. Join us and help establish this center- a living tribute that will continue Noya Dan’s light: a center of acceptance, understanding, tolerance, and hope. La Vision Sous l'impulsion de Galit Dan (mère de Noya), d'Aloumot- Or et du Conseil régional d'Ashkelon, le Centre de l'Expérience Autistique verra le jour dans le bâtiment du Groovetech, un lieu cher à Noya. L'Expérience L'objectif est de rendre l'expérience autistique accessible à tous. • Immersion: Le parcours permettra aux visiteurs de "vivre" la perception sensorielle et cognitive des personnes autistes. • Co-creation : La planification inclut des consultants autistes pour garantir l'authenticité du message. • Éducation : Un espace reliant émotion et pédagogie pour favoriser l'inclusion sociale.
