Shnayim LaYom

The "Shnayim Layom" initiative from Yeshivat Har Etzion offers a platform for learning the entire Tanakh in one year. Every day, participants study two chapters and receive short, accessible WhatsApp messages offering deeper insight and analysis on the daily portion. In this way, the learning successfully combines breadth and depth—completing the Tanakh in one year while acquiring meaningful understanding and tools for deeper study. Today, the initiative's WhatsApp groups include over 17,000 members. The project is available in three languages—Hebrew, English, and French—and across three platforms: WhatsApp, Telegram, and email. The community of learners is wonderfully diverse, ranging from individuals with no prior background in Tanakh study to rabbis and Bible scholars. Many participants share that thanks to this program, they have read through the Tanakh from start to finish for the very first time. In addition, the initiative operates dozens of in-person study groups throughout Israel, providing group leaders with a framework of content to deliver weekly classes. Starting in 2026, the project also launched the "Orach Chayim in a Year" program—an in-depth, comprehensive study of Halakhic literature following the order of the Shulchan Aruch, with approximately 2,500 learners.
