The association was established in 1982 and has been committed to providing the best service to people with disabilities, alongside unique projects in the field of education. Shekel Israel provides a wide range of occupational, rehabilitative-therapeutic and educational programs, customized for a variety of populations – from childhood to the golden years. Our main goal is to enable these populations to live a life full of dignity, with selffulfillment and optimal integration into the community – as individuals with equal rights. The association operates a multi-disability rehabilitation employment center, a community housing system, day centers, after-school programs and leisure clubs for children with special needs, social projects for people with complex disabilities, as well as unique projects in the field of education, such as early childhood programs in kindergartens and daycare centers. We provide services of the highest quality and professionalism, taking into account the changing needs and desires of each individual. The service is personal and the potential of each service recipient can be realized in the most optimal way.
