Alon Center returning to Life

The Alon Center for Returning to Life, named after Alon Shamiriz, is an innovative social initiative designed to serve as a one-stop shop for Israel’s reservists—particularly from maneuvering units—who face the unprecedented challenge of rebuilding their lives after months of reserve duty. Working in full cooperation with IDF field units, the initiative provides intensive three-month support beginning the day they return home. The program focuses on accessing rights and benefits, delivering social and emotional assistance, and addressing urgent personal and family needs. The initiative operates under the umbrella of Derech Lotan, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting at-risk youth in Israeli society, which allows us to operate with zero overhead costs, ensuring that every donation goes directly to impact.
