The Afik Purim Project

"The Afik Purim Project" combines three goals:2. Creating costumes for mobility aids used by children with special needs. 4. Commemorating Staff Sergeant Afik Rosenthal z”l, a commando fighter who fell in battle while rescuing the residents of Nahal Oz on October 7th. Afik was also an uncle to a sweet child with cerebral palsy. 6. Integrating the project into the educational program of Tzafit High School, where Afik studied. The students and teachers take part in designing the costumes, while also learning about special needs, inclusion, and accessibility. This is the third consecutive year of the project, which culminates in a joyful community event where the costumes are presented and delivered to the children.
