The foundation was established in 2002 by Seth Mandell and Sherri Mandell, shortly after their son Koby, was murdered together with his friend Yosef Ish-Ran by terrorists near their home. He was only 13 years old. The organization was born out of deep personal pain and a courageous decision to transform loss into purpose. Since then, the Foundation has provided thousands of bereaved families with a comprehensive framework of support, therapeutic programs, and respite experiences within the healing strength of peer groups.
