Behind the scene

From our experience in treating addicts and based on research in the field of addictions we have found that mothers and wives of addicts are significantly affected as a result of living with the addict. The woman may find herself swamped with feelings of shame, powerlessness, fear and anger regarding being a victim of her partner's or child's illness. Therefore, we maintain a framework which helps wives and mothers of addicts to identify the difficulties they are dealing with, and allows them to receive support, to develop personal empowerment and independence. Our experience has shown that when women are active partners in the recovery process of the addicts themselves it is remarkably effective.
