The Briah Foundation - For Women’s Health in Israel

A contribution to the Briah Foundation is an investment in the health of girls and women in Israel, in reducing disparities, and in improving access to healthcare for diverse populations. Gender gaps in health continue to affect women in Israel - in diagnosis, treatment, and medical knowledge. The Briah Foundation works to close these gaps and to advance a health system that is more attentive and more equitable for women from all backgrounds. What We Do• Develop and implement innovative tools, including the Purple Card, which promotes trauma-informed care for survivors of sexual violence and has been adopted by the Ministry of Health; the Gynecological Code, which defines appropriate standards of care for intimate examinations and has been adopted by the Israeli Medical Association and HMOs; and more. • Support groundbreaking projects that transform the healthcare system from within. • Advance policy to drive systemic change.
