Stopping the Jerusalem Burj Khalifa!

After the Appeals Committee decided by a majority vote to reject the appeal submitted by hundreds of residents, institutions, and organizations, we are left with one last option to stop this megalomaniacal building – a petition to the court! Narrow financial interests must not prevail over the feelings of bereaved families, the dignity of national memorial sites on Mount Herzl and Yad Vashem, and the preservation of Jerusalem’s unique character. The national memorial mountain is the last place to build a flashy skyscraper. It is spitting in the face of Zionist values and a tragedy for generations. The plan is riddled with flaws – ethical, planning-related, and legal – and we will bring all of these before the court. We want to quote one sentence from the minority opinion of Appeals Committee member Hillel Zusman (representative of the Nature and Parks Authority): "I did not find even a single point that could justify the tower." Therefore, we are turning to you to donate and enable us to fight legally against the construction of this massive tower! We pledge that every shekel raised will be dedicated to legal expenses, professional opinions, and a broad public campaign. Join the fight, and together we will stop the Jerusalem Burj Khalifa!
