A Schoolbag for Every Child in Israel

For most children, the first day of school is filled with excitement. But for thousands of children in Israel, it is a source of anxiety. They know they may arrive without a new schoolbag, notebooks or the basic supplies their classmates already have. On that first morning, their family’s financial hardship becomes impossible to hide. Hai Bahem works in partnership with local authorities and social services to identify families in genuine need and provide their children with everything required for a dignified start to the school year. A donation of 59$ provides one child with a brand-new schoolbag filled with all the essential school supplies. Our goal is to equip 2,000 children across Israel. Together, we can ensure that no child starts school empty-handed or feeling different from everyone else.
