Beeri’s Light: Building a Playground of Joy in Mevo Dotan

By Shomron Foundation

Beeri’s greatest wish was to be with his friends, laughing and playing. Today, we are turning our longing into a legacy by building a vibrant playground in his memory in the place he loved most—his home in Mevo Dotan. Join us in turning love into life.

A Boy Who Connected WorldsBeeri was a child everyone knew—and everyone loved. He was a boy whose smile filled the room, whose joy spread effortlessly, and whose heart connected everyone around him. During our time in Riverdale, Beeri was a student at SAR—a school that quickly became more than just an institution; it became our family. Throughout Beeri’s journey with cancer, the Riverdale community gave us something priceless: warmth, strength, and unwavering support. At SAR, Beeri felt healthy. He felt normal. He was just a boy among friends. Whether it was through the schools or the shuls that opened their hearts to us—Sons of Israel, RJC, HIR, Beit Aharon, and YIOZ—we were carried by an overwhelming wave of unconditional love. Beeri’s DreamEven during the hardest moments of his battle, all Beeri wanted was one thing: to leave the hospital and be with his friends. He even began first grade for just three days—three days filled with excitement, pride, and hope. Today, we choose to honor that hope. We are building a playground in Beeri’s memory in Mevo Dotan, located in northern Samaria. This is where Beeri grew up, where he played, and where he felt most at home. Turning Memory into MeaningMevo Dotan is a growing community that many young families call home. By building this playground, we are providing a beautiful space for children to grow, play, and thrive. As parents, we are committed to the growth of the Land of Israel and believe in teaching our children the value of building and settling this land. This project is a bridge between the community that held us during our darkest days and the home where Beeri’s light first began to shine. Every donation is a hug to our hearts. It is a lifelong reminder that Beeri was never alone, and that his light continues to shine through every laugh, jump, and smile on this playground.
