A Jubilee of Torah – 5 New Volumes Marking the 50th Year

A Jubilee Project: 5 New Volumes by Rabbi Shimon Peretz As I approach my fiftieth year—my Jubilee—I am moved to launch a select collection of Torah insights (Chidushim) and elucidations penned over many years: The simultaneous publication of five new volumes. These are not merely "books." They represent the summation of a spiritual and intellectual journey that I have walked together with you—my students and friends—throughout the years. The Collection This project includes two major works: 1. The "Moadei Hashem" Series (4 Volumes) A comprehensive series clarifying the Jewish Festivals with depth of thought, presented in clear, organized language for the contemporary learner. • Moadei Kodeshcha: Essays on the Days of Awe (Yamim Noraim) and the Festivals of Tishrei. • Lehodot Ulehalel: Profound essays on Hanukkah and Purim. • Shirat HaHaggadah: Elucidations on Passover and Song of Songs (Shir HaShirim). • Min HaMetzar: Studies on the Counting of the Omer and the Three Weeks (Bein HaMetzarim). 2. Sod HaKaddish (The Secret of Kaddish – 1 Volume) A unique volume dedicated to one of the most sublime and frequently recited prayers in Judaism. The book is built layer upon layer: beginning with the Pshat—a clear, literal explanation of the words—and descending into the depths of intent and thought based on the teachings of the great commentators throughout the generations, Rishonim and Acharonim. This book grants new meaning to ancient words, revealing the spiritual repair (Tikkun) and comfort hidden within them. Why Now? And Why Crowdfunding? Torah is written to be studied. The costs involved in editing, layout, design, distribution, and printing five volumes are immense.
