Remembering Uri Lupolianski

We are writing to share the sad news of the passing of Uri Lupolianski, founder of Yad Sarah, whose vision, compassion, and unwavering commitment transformed the lives of countless individuals and families across Israel and beyond. In 1976, what began as a simple act of kindness—lending a vaporizer to a neighbor’s sick child—grew into Uri Lupolianski’s life mission. Through his devotion to human dignity, he built Yad Sarah into a lifeline for millions facing illness, disability, and aging, ensuring that help, hope, and dignity were always within reach. His extraordinary contributions earned him the Israel Prize and the President’s Award for Volunteerism. But his true legacy lives on through the millions who have been helped, the tens of thousands of volunteers who continue this essential work, and the enduring values of chesed at the heart of Yad Sarah. Uri Lupolianski is survived by his wife, Michal, and their 12 children. We extend our deepest condolences to the Lupolianski family and to all who were touched by his remarkable life. May his memory be a blessing.
