Blair’s Bat Mitzvah Project: Empowering Children Through Imagine

My mitzvah project supports Myisrael - an organization based in Israel that works with over 20 projects to help Israel's most vulnerable populations. I have chosen to raise money for IMAGINE, a program that allows children who have special needs to learn music. The purpose of this program is to create an inclusive band in which participants work together throughout the school year and perform. This program aims to help children improve their musical and interpersonal skills, as well as their physical and social development and their confidence. I have selected this organization because music has made a huge impact on my life.  I began playing violin when I was six years old and now play the flute in my middle school band.  I find music to be fun, challenging, and a great way to work with others.  Playing the flute also provides me with a sense of accomplishment. I would love for other children to be able to experience the same excitement from music that I do. Thank you so much for your support! I really appreciate it!
