Supporting Families of Reservist Soldiers Facing Economic Hardship Due to the War. Since the outbreak of the war, thousands of families of reserve soldiers have found themselves in a complex economic reality: a business forced to close or stop generating income, a salary that disappeared or was reduced, expenses that never stop, and often children who need nothing more than a sense of stability. In many cases, the partner back at home was suddenly required to juggle work, care for children, and manage the household without an adequate safety net and under constant economic uncertainty. These families stepped up to serve, and are now dealing with the economic consequences. This is exactly where Latet’s Emergency Assistance Fund comes into action, to help these families recover from temporary hardship and return to a more stable routine. The fund supports approximately 1,000 families on an ongoing basis for six months, through a monthly assistance package that includes essential food and hygiene items.
