Puah Institute is a leading, professional, and unique international chessed (benevolence) center that integrates the worlds of advanced medicine and research with the tradition of Halachic ruling (Jewish Law) in the fields of family life. Founded 30 years ago by Rabbi Menachem Burstein, who has since served as its head, the institute was established to assist people in Israel and worldwide in the areas of fertility, gynecology, genetics, family purity, and more. Our extensive knowledge and network of connections—with top-tier physicians and researchers on one hand, and leading Halachic authorities on the other—enable us to assist a diverse public, directing them toward the most suitable treatments and solutions. The institute consolidates counseling, guidance, research, and education at the intersection of medicine and Halacha. With branches in the United States and France, the institute coordinates its global activities. From its inception until his passing, the former Chief Rabbi, Rishon LeZion HaGaon Mordechai Eliyahu zt"l, personally guided the institute's activities.
