Social Delivery

On February 28th, Israeli citizens woke up to sirens signaling the start of a war with Iran. Social Delivery mobilized immediately to support those impacted. Our current efforts are focused on two critical areas: Essential Support for Evacuated Families: Assisting families whose homes were damaged by rockets and who have been forced to evacuate. Shelter Improvement: Enhancing conditions in public shelters for the elderly and families with small children who must remain there due to frequent alarms. Based on lessons learned from the past, Social Delivery was ready to respond immediately to any emergency scenario, thanks to our comprehensive emergency preparedness program. About Social Delivery Social Delivery bridges the gap between surplus consumer goods—furniture, clothing, household items, cleaning supplies, electric appliances, and more—and NGOs and underserved communities that need them the most. Every year, millions of brand-new clothing items, consumer goods, and thousands of high-quality furniture pieces are discarded and sent to landfills, even though they are in excellent condition. Meanwhile, many communities lack access to these essential resources. We create a circular economy model that connects the business sector with communities in need, turning waste into resources and surplus into social impact.  Leveraging a robust network within the business sector, we work with more than 200 businesses, collecting surplus items from leading retailers and companies and storing them in our professional logistics warehouses. We then redistribute these goods to nonprofits and communities in need of these essential resources. The organization operates three strategically located warehouses (in the south, center, and north of Israel) supported by a professional logistics team. Our dedicated staff meticulously identifies and matches community needs, ensuring efficient and impactful delivery. By rescuing goods destined for landfills and extending product lifespans, we reduce carbon emissions and generate positive environmental impact. Social Delivery serves as a rapid responder during emergencies, providing essential emergency supplies to populations affected by war, natural disasters, and urgent crises. Since its foundation, Social Delivery has rescued 7,500 tons of items and equipment valued at $59.5 million, delivering high-quality goods to communities in need. The organization distributes over 2 million products to approximately 300 non-profits and social organizations annually.
