Commemorative half shekel

In the month of Adar, it is customary to donate a half shekel to charity for Torah and prayer institutions. The custom is done in memory of the half shekel donation that the Israelites donated each year for the Temple. You can donate according to your ability and the generosity of your heart. According to the Sephardic custom, this year they give an amount of 86 shekels for each family member. According to the Ashkenazi custom - three half shekels (1.5 NIS) for each family member. The donation of a half shekel is considered a talisman for salvation and protection from all evil and brings abundant blessings from heaven. Donate now in memory of the half shekel 2026 for the Chabad House in the old Am Moshavot neighborhood of Petah Tikva, managed by Rabbi Moti and Mina Gorelik. We will use the donation to develop the activity at the Chabad House, and to maintain and expand the Torah classes and prayers. The donation is recognized for tax purposes (section 46)
