Support for reservists in the North In recent weeks, tens of thousands of reservists have been recruited again to protect the communities of the North and all of us. Many of them are leaving their families, jobs, and routines to stand on the front lines and ensure the security of the country. As an organization operating in the heart of the Upper Galilee and a center of broad educational and community activity in the region, we are in constant contact with communities, units, and reservists operating in the field. From time to time, specific and urgent needs arise – such as hot food for Shabbat, basic hygiene equipment, or small equipment that assists in the soldiers’ daily routine. It is important for us to emphasize: the primary responsibility for the soldiers’ needs, of course, lies with the IDF. We are not here to replace the military system, but to assist in a rapid response to specific situations when an immediate need arises from the field. In recent days, several reservist battalions stationed in the North have contacted us requesting assistance with hot food, to create a small moment of home for them, as well as basic hygiene equipment. Upper Galilee Preparatory School students are volunteering to raise funds to enable us to provide an initial response to these needs. The reservists are protecting us – let's stand behind them.
