Bridges & Soul

Within a fractured Israeli reality where language dissolves into a tangle of voices, impulses, and powerless rage, a new initiative has emerged, seeking to transform those impulses and voids into bridges. Bridges & Soul is a nationwide initiative, unique and the first of its kind, born out of a deep need: to understand. to listen. to translate. To create a shared language between worlds that at times seem unable to speak with one another. Behind the initiative stand around 15 therapists, experienced professionals who have been volunteering their writing for the past two years. They strive to achieve the impossible: to give meaning to experiences of chaos and wordlessness, to turn emotional chaos into a guiding path, to convey the inner world of the Haredi soul—from within. The events of October 7th gave rise to this call within the collective consciousness. Questions of identity, responsibility, guilt and hope surged powerfully, transforming the initiative into a space where dialogue might become possible. The project gathers a collection of articles with a psychoanalytic orientation, exploring the unique ways of listening inherent to the Haredi inner world. This enables therapists- and anyone, really- to understand the nuances, codes, and depths of the Haredi psyche. The initiative operates on the assumption that understanding both the soul and the person fosters closeness, and from that closeness, unity, commitment, and reciprocity emerge. The articles already written have become a significant tool for therapists across Israeli society. They reduce tension, prevent misunderstandings, and allow for truly respectful, tailored, and sensitive care. But for the initiative to continue growing, we need you. This is a project of the heart, of social responsibility, and of a deep belief that things can be different, that even in a world of " one language, few true words" meaningful dialogue can emerge.
