Captain Elad Siman Tov z”lCaptain Elad Siman Tov z”l grew up in Tzofim in the Shomron; a beloved son and brother, a person of truth, humility, and a wide, generous heart. He chose to join the Golani Reconnaissance Unit out of a deep sense of mission. On October 7, while he was a cadet in the officers’ course, he did not wait for orders—he set out on his own initiative to fight in the Gaza border communities. He saved lives, fought with courage, and later commanded his soldiers, leading them in combat in Gaza and Lebanon. On the eve of the Sukkot holiday of 5785, he charged first into close combat. Even after being wounded, he continued fighting until he fell. Elad was a commander who led from the front, a man who saw those whom others overlooked. After his fall, countless stories emerged about his quiet smile, his care for others, and his willingness to give to every person. In his final words, he told the medic: “Take care of yourself. Take care of the team.” Siman’s FarmOut of this spirit, we chose to establish “Siman’s Farm”—an agricultural therapeutic space for soldiers, wounded fighters, bereaved families, and all circles of loss. A place of connection to the land, healing, resilience, and community. This is our way of continuing Elad’s path. This is our privilege—to care for those who gave everything for us.
