Northern Resilience Emergency Response Initiative

The Northern Resilience Emergency Response Initiative, led by the Upper Galilee Leadership Academy, was established to provide a rapid and flexible civilian response to emerging needs in communities across northern Israel during the ongoing war. The initiative operates a civilian emergency operations center that maps needs from local communities and mobilizes a large volunteer network including academy participants, alumni, and volunteers from across Israel. Volunteer teams are deployed daily to communities throughout the Upper Galilee to assist residents and support local authorities. The initiative focuses on assisting vulnerable populations, helping maintain and prepare public shelters and protected spaces, providing informal educational and community activities for children when schools are closed, and supporting municipalities with urgent community needs. By coordinating hundreds of volunteers and operating across multiple communities, the initiative strengthens local resilience and helps northern residents maintain stability and support during a time of ongoing security challenges.
