Saving Drom HaSharon’s Football League – Upgrading Our Children's Home! The Drom HaSharon Football League—home to about 750 boys and girls—is at a critical crossroads. We are now mobilizing the community to establish a professional, safe, and proper pitch that will allow our children to continue playing next season. This isn't just another future project—it's a decisive moment for the upcoming season!The "M.S. Ichud Drom HaSharon" Football Club is much more than just a sports organization. For 15 years, we have built a warm home for approximately 750 boys and girls – a place where values, resilience, and community meet on the pitch. Our club has been an anchor of stability for our children, especially through the challenges of recent years. Our Challenge: The Moment of Truth The current facility in Yarhiv requires a fundamental and immediate change. The pitch is outdated, unsafe, and no longer meets professional standards: it suffers from severe flooding in winter due to a lack of drainage and becomes a worn-out "sandbox" in summer, leading to injuries. The lighting is inadequate and not approved for league matches. Furthermore, the ongoing maintenance and operational costs of the current pitch are extremely high. Upgrading to a modern synthetic surface is not only a professional necessity but also a sound financial move that will save heavy operational costs over time. In its current state, it is simply impossible to continue competitive league activities. Why are we taking responsibility now? • The Crisis with the Council: Following a dramatic cut in the regional council's sports budget and the closure of the local sports department, the responsibility for maintaining and upgrading the pitch has fallen entirely on us. • State Budget Delays: The government "Call for Projects" (Kol Kore) for upgrading the pitch has been delayed and postponed due to the war, and there is currently no estimate for when these funds will be received. We cannot afford to stand by and watch this life-changing project fade away. It is time to stop compromising! The Vision: A Modern Synthetic Stadium in Yarhiv We have decided to stop waiting and take responsibility. Our goal is clear: A total upgrade of the Yarhiv pitch into a professional facility for 2026. We need your partnership to turn this vision into reality across three critical phases: • Phase A (The Heart): Installation of a professional synthetic grass pitch, including advanced drainage systems and professional night lighting for league matches. (Immediate Goal: 700,000 NIS as a first step out of a total cost of 2,150,000 NIS). • Phase B (The Community): Construction of a modern, safe, and respectful grandstand for 150 parents and fans. (Cost: 450,000 NIS). • Phase C (The Environment): A fundamental renovation of the locker rooms and a complete aesthetic overhaul of the complex. (Cost: 450,000 NIS). The Deadline: Construction must begin by late May 2026 to ensure the next season opens on a new pitch. The contractor has already been selected and is on standby! The success of this project depends entirely on us. Without reaching our community fundraising goal, the Drom HaSharon football league will not be able to open next season. Since we are a registered non-profit (Section 46a), the state refunds 35% of your donation. 2. When does work begin? In May 2026! We are ready with a contractor and want the children to start the next season on a brand-new pitch. 3. What if we don’t raise the full amount? The initial goal of 700,000 NIS is the "starting signal" that allows us to begin construction. We are determined to build this stadium, and every shekel helps us move forward without taking on expensive loans. 4. I am a business owner; can I place a sign? Absolutely!
