Arava Spiritual Center - Maching

At the Arava Spiritual Center, we believe in the power of meetings to create real change. Through our initiative "A Good Place," we host meetings of close friends for several days, as well as various groups from communities whose voices are not heard, an opportunity for those for whom reality does not invite quiet and calm time. Our wish is to give them a few days without existential worries or fear, an opportunity to talk and learn about inner peace, peace between people and peace with the environment. The special events we plan throughout the year are our opportunity to give participants moments of inner peace, connection, renewal of strength and inspiration, and most importantly - to experience acceptance and love. At these events, we have hosted groups in the past such as refugees and asylum seekers, Palestinian families, girls and women at risk, people in rehab, etc. We organize enrichment workshops and lectures for them, mindfulness studies, meditation, listening circles, musical events and spending time in nature. All this out of a desire to empower each participant and give them a sense of value and belonging. We have taken it upon ourselves to raise at least 50% of the required resources from our community members, beyond volunteering for the activity itself and organizing the events. We need your help to finance the events and increase their number. We will need resources to rent rooms, prepare meals, and bring in professional facilitators who will contribute to the success of each meeting, as appropriate for the population we will host.
