Over the past two and a half years, we all came to understand the importance of the word home. We went out to protect the home. We did rounds of reserve duty to guard the home. We stayed behind with the children to hold the home together. We all mobilized — together and apart — because that was the call of the moment for our home. But what about those who did everything for everyone's home, even at the cost of building their own? When you go down to the shelter and get annoyed that you were woken up in the middle of the night, there are people who look around, see everyone descending with their families, and feel a pang in their heart — because they went down to the shelter alone. There were those who came home, and no one was waiting for them with a bouquet of flowers and a cake. Every day they spent in Gaza or Syria was another day the idea of home drifted further away — with no time to date — and another night when she received a suggestion, but "he's in reserves." For over 5 years now, Ambassadors of the Heart has been operating through a dedicated, advanced technological platform, alongside a social vision of "friends setting up friends," in order to fulfill its mission: to connect more single men and women who want to build their home. To make more weddings and homes possible in Israel. Together, we have already set up more than 1,000 people who were searching for love. But we're not stopping. Thousands of young men and women — singles, divorcees, and yes, also widows from the war (who need special guidance) and beyond — are asking to conclude their journey of the past two and a half years, a journey of combat reserve duty and sacrifice, by building a home of their own.
