The Yitzhar Drone Unit

Who We AreThe Yitzhar Drone Unit was established out of a clear understanding: in our complex security reality, speed and a broad perspective are the keys to safety. We are a group of local volunteers, residents of Yitzhar, who operate advanced aerial technology to serve as the "first line of defense" against any threat. Our Mission in the FieldThe unit operates in full coordination with security forces and the local Rapid Response Team (Kitat Konanut), specializing in four critical areas: • Real-Time Rapid Response: Reaching suspicious locations across the town and surrounding areas instantly, providing visual intel before ground forces even arrive. • Routine Security Patrols: Proactive aerial surveillance to neutralize hostile activity and monitor "blind spots" that are difficult to secure from the ground. • Preventing Land Encroachment: Close monitoring and documentation of illegal incursions into Area C, which pose a strategic and security threat to the entire region. • Tactical Support: Providing the Rapid Response Team with a full "eye-in-the-sky" situational awareness during incidents, ensuring our defenders can act safely and effectively. Building the Future: Training & EquipmentTo ensure 24/7 coverage, we are constantly expanding our capabilities: • Pilot Training: Conducting professional certification courses for new volunteers from the community, turning them into skilled operational drone pilots. • Expanding our Fleet: Purchasing advanced drones for new pilots to ensure every sector of the town is fully covered. “Your partnership is our security. To maintain 24/7 readiness, upgrade our optical equipment, and keep our technological edge in the field – we need you with us.”
