Manitou - Lessons on the Book of Deserts

The Book of the Desert is not just a historical travel diary of the people of Israel wandering on their way to their land. Based on the teachings of Rabbi Yehuda Leon Ashkenazi (Manitou), it is illuminated in a new light: a book that charts the dramatic transition of the people of Israel from a collection of individuals to a collective entity and a nation. Through the journeys of the people of Israel in the desert, Manitou reveals the characteristics of our identity as a nation, characteristics that repeatedly drive our path in human history. Thus, the political events that befall us even today receive a Torah compass that charts the destination where we are headed as a country.
