Pickleball Sports Center Efrat - Keren Efrat: Building Efrat Together

Pickleball Sports Center Efrat Pickleball is a fast-growing sport that combines fun, fitness, and community in an inclusive and welcoming environment. Played on a court smaller than a tennis court and easy to learn for all ages, pickleball creates opportunities for recreation, healthy competition, and social connection across generations — from school-age children to active retirees. As part of the Efrat Development Foundation vision to expand recreational and sports opportunities for local residents, we are working together with the Efrat Matnas Community Center and in coordination with support from Israel’s Ministry of Culture and Sport to help develop pickleball programming and facilities for the community. The sport is rapidly gaining momentum in Israel and worldwide, including its inclusion in the 2026 Maccabiah Games, while Israeli athletes have already achieved international success in world competition. Today, approximately 100 active players participate regularly in the Efrat area using temporary and shared court spaces. Looking ahead, plans also include after-school youth clubs and chugim, helping introduce more children and teens in Efrat to healthy, active, and community-driven recreational opportunities.
