Powered by students, driven by innovation. For the first time in history, an Israeli student team is preparing to compete in the iLumen European Solar Challenge, Behind Orna 2.0 is the Afeka Auto Club—a multidisciplinary team of engineering students from Afeka College of Engineering in Tel Aviv. Together, they are creating the next generation of Israel's solar race car while gaining the hands-on experience that prepares them for careers at the forefront of engineering and innovation. Our goal is to proudly represent Israel in the iLumen European Solar Challenge (iESC), the world's only 24-hour endurance race for solar-powered vehicles, held at the legendary Circuit Zolder in Belgium. University and college teams from around the world compete in one of the most demanding student engineering competitions, testing innovation, reliability, teamwork, and engineering excellence. The journey of Orna 2.0 has already earned the support of leading industry partners, including Champion Motors, EVR Motors, IMCD, REALIS, Volkswagen Israel and others, helping bring the project to its current advanced stage.
