Nova kits project
By Hazala Yehuda and Shomron
In Their Name, We Will Save Lives
Our initiative “In Their Name, We Will Save Lives” was spearheaded to memorialize the 366 victims
murdered at the Nova Music Festival on Oct. 7, 2023 and was done in cooperation of Hatzalah Yehuda and
Shomron and Children of Light – The Organization of Families of the Murdered in the Nova Festival. How
does this project work? Lifesaving kits are donated and given to one of our volunteer medics. Each kit
honors a victim with their name and photo and will be used by first responders in life-saving efforts.
The Basic kit is for the medic/EMT in the field, before the ambulance arrives, and includes equipment for
the treatment of resuscitation, trauma injuries, road accidents and serious injuries. Use of this kit increases
the chances of survival. As we all know, the first few minutes are critical to saving a life.
The Advanced Lifesaving Kit is for the doctor/paramedic, in the field, before the ambulance arrives and
includes all the medical equipment for resuscitation and rescue for adults, children and toddlers. This kit
also includes three-year maintenance and advanced equipment: medications, dressing and hemostasis,
respiratory accessories, oxygen enrichment and more, and most notably, includes a defibrillator.
The family of each victim is notified of each bag donated in memory of their loved one, and we arrange a
meeting between the family and the first responder. So far we have held two large ceremonies bringing
everyone together. The first was in the Jordan Valley in the Winter of 2024 and we donated 98 kits; the 2nd
phase was at the Nova Festival Site on September 3, 2025 where an additional 50 kits were distributed.
Each basic kit costs $1600 and and advanced one which includes a defibrillator, costs $2400. We have
pledged to fund 150 more medical kits. If interested please click here to donate
