Give Deaf Youth a Bar/Bat Mitzvah Celebration!

Most Deaf and Hearing-Impaired youth will never have the opportunity to experience a Bar/Bar Mitzvah celebration. Young Israel in Israel’s mission is to change that - we believe every youth is entitled to celebrate this milestone and we invite you to help us make this happen. YI Israel runs the ONLY program in Israel that allows Deaf and Hearing-Impaired Bar/Bat Mitzvah boys and girls to come together to celebrate this important milestone in their lives. For many, it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate this occasion and visit the sites of Jerusalem. YI Israel provides these youths with an unforgettable day of celebration which includes the Bnei Mitzvah ceremony, entertainment, and a Seudat Mitzvah- all at the Kotel. YI Israel’s main goal is to help these boys and girls celebrate their Bar/Bat Mitzvahs and make them feel included in mainstream society. It connects this special segment of the population to Judaism, Jewish history, and their roots and allows them to celebrate special milestones in their life. We believe every child deserves to be glorified and given the opportunity to celebrate coming of age. Join us to give these children the celebration that they deserve!
